What to Expect
When you arrive our welcome team will be there to greet you on the door and invite you to enjoy some refreshments before we begin. You can expect our meetings to be relaxed and informal, so no need to dress up in your Sunday best. Each week the meetings will be structured to help people live increasingly meaningful lives, as we pursue love, truth and unity for God’s glory and Glasgow’s good. That almost always includes singing, opening the Bible together and taking communion. You can join in with as much or as little of that as you feel comfortable.
Strathclyde University Union, 90 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JH
Parking is available under the McCance Building on Richmond Street. The car park is free of charge for Glasgow Grace attendees on Sundays from 10am.
There are plenty of bike racks just a few yards down the hill from the entrance to the Union. If you are able, we would encourage you to cycle. Not only is It good for your health and the environment, it’s free!
The Union is positioned between Cathedral Street and George Street, right in the heart of the city centre and so it has a whole host of public transport options. According to Google, Queen Street Train Station is a 4-minute walk, Central Station is an 11-minute walk, Buchanan Street Subway Station is a 6-minute walk and Buchanan Street Bus Station is an 8-minute walk away.
The building is fully accessible for wheelchair users and other forms of mobility aids. The lifts are just inside the main doors and take you straight up to Level 8 where we meet.
Grace Tots is a fun and safe space for children aged 3 and under to enjoy music, stories and a healthy snack. It also allows parents an opportunity to rest and have God speak to them during their busy week.
Registration for Tots and Kids begins each week at 10.45AM at the entrance to the main hall on level 8. A friendly face from the team will be waiting there to welcome you.
After a couple of songs with the rest of the church family we head through to Tots for our time together. Here’s what we usually do: Story Time; Singing; Snack Time; Games and Pick Up.
Parents please note, your children's safety is a high priority for us and so, in partnership with Urban Saints, we make sure that we keep up to date with all the government guidelines for child safety.
The Grace Kids team works really hard to help children see how amazing God is in a fun and safe environment. That’s because children’s work is not the warm-up. Jesus said, "Let the children come to me" and that’s what we intend to do at Grace Kids for ages 3 to 10.
You can find registration for Kids and Tots from 10.45AM at the entrance to the main hall on level 8 where someone from the team will be welcoming you. We like to keep everyone together during the opening songs in the main meeting before kids follow their leaders to their time together, usually after the second song.
At Grace Kids we keep things fast moving! Here’s how we usually structure the morning: Welcome and News; Games; The Bible Story; Toast Time; Activities and Crafts and Song!
Parents please note, your children's safety is a high priority for us. In partnership with Urban Saints, we make relevant checks (including PVG disclosures) and keep up to date with all the government guidelines for child safety.
