The Internship
What is the Glasgow Grace Internship?
When you strip it right back, we are disciples of Jesus who want to make disciples of Jesus. In partnership with ID our internship is about taking nine months out to set you on the path of an adventure of faith that lasts a lifetime.
We recognise each person is unique and so as well as providing biblical teaching and general ministry experience with other ID interns and at Glasgow Grace, there will be opportunities to immerse yourself in a chosen area of ministry. We will discuss that with you after you apply.
What is ID and what does it look like?
ID stands for Intentional Discipleship, and it is run by friends of ours in Cambridge, who are also part of Newfrontiers (the wider group of churches we belong to).
A week in the life of an intern will consist of training and teaching, getting hands on in your chosen ministry, mucking in with some of the practical needs of the church, immersing yourself in church family and joining other ID interns for weekly catch ups and teaching, which usually takes place on Mondays.
Every few months you will fly down to Cambridge to spend a week with the other ID interns for intensive weeks of teaching, eating and making life-long friends!
Matt Fell from City Church Cambridge and his brilliant team organise both the weekly and quarterly teaching, which is delivered by lots of gifted people around the country. Each of them will help you to increase your confidence in the Good News of Jesus, build on your tools to understand and apply the Bible and give you space to ask some of life’s biggest questions.
When you’re not in Cambridge the internship will take up around 20 hours of your week and it is expected that you will use some of the rest of your time to take on a part time job. The job isn’t only about living costs, but to apply what you are learning on mission in the world and give you a fuller learning experience.
Near the end of ID, you will head off for a week of ministry with a pioneering church plant in a European city. This year’s IDers went to Stockholm and next year’s city will be announced after you begin.

Who can apply?
Anyone 18+ who loves Jesus can apply to intern at Glasgow Grace and with ID, but our focus will be for twenty somethings who are serious about establishing a foundation for living lives to the glory of God.
How much does it cost and how is it funded?
The church will help you raise your fee with ID (£1,500) and all your travel costs and any books you might need. Interns will also need to fund their living costs for the year and we encourage you to do this by getting a part-time job. If you are struggling to find accommodation or work, please do get in touch and we will do all we can to help you.
Who's running ID?
Matt Fell is the ID Programme Director. The programme is run and administered by Revelation Church London.
How do I apply?
Applications for 2024-25 are open. Please apply through the ID website and drop us an email to let us know you have.
